Mahindra is well known for its best SUV segment vehicles and created several successful models too. But if we talk about compact SUV segment Mahindra is yet to prove. Mahindra has already tried with it’s previous compact SUV’s but not able to make the kind attention. With new XUV300 Mahindra is expecting to make a space in compact SUV’s segment.
The new XUV300 will be available in 3 variants W4, W6, W8 and W8(O) as a optional variant. W8(O) will be equipped with additional technology and safety features.
The new XUV300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli platform. Company says that The XUV300 will not only promises the most fun-to-drive performance in the segment, but also first in class with hi tech features and best in safety.
Mahindra is taking safety as most priority. That’s why XUV300 will come with first in segment 7 airbags for top end model. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, and dual airbags as standard. The SUV also offers disc brakes on all 4 wheels as standard.
Talking of the engines Mahindra has confirmed that it will come the with a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. For transmission 6 speed manual gearbox will be as a standard. Company has also hinted that automatic option can be introduced later.
We expect the SUV to be priced in India at ₹ 7 lakh to ₹ 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
